Workshop details:
Join Cate Francis and FAM artist, Noah Roy for a two part screenprinting workshop. Participants will learn how to create their own design and how to print on t-shirts.
You will learn the basics of screen printing from set up, designing an image, coating screens, exposing your image, techniques for printing and clean up. Leave with your own design on a t-shirt!

Cate Francis (She/Her) is an artist and illustrator from Saskatoon. She has a BFA from the University of Saskatchewan and an MFA with a focus on printmaking from NASCAD University (Halifax). Her art practice is primarily focused on making prints and collaborative wheat paste murals that reflect on human relationships to ecology and the natural environment. Cate is passionate about screen printing and has been teaching this versatile method of printmaking to anyone willing to pick up a squeegee for over a decade. In addition to teaching printmaking workshops, she is a drawing instructor for the USCAD program at the University of Saskatchewan. She also screen prints posters and designs album artwork in addition to growing peppers and making and selling half decent hot sauce at the farmers market (for which she screen prints all of the labels and merch).
